BRICK WALL RESTORATION

If your brick home received flood damage during a recent storm event, EnergyGuard Foam Insulators has solutions to restore structural integrity of your home.

EnergyGuard’s solution will reestablish the drainage plane, the air space behind your brick wall and insulation all in one process.  This system uses 2lb closed cell spray foam applied to Keene Driwall HBM (Hydric Buffer Mat) between the brick and the sheet rock.  The Keene Driwall HBM keeps the spray foam from being applied directly to the brick.  This creates a ¾” air gap between the spray foam and the brick allow the brick to dry properly to maintain the structural integrity of the brick and mortar.  The 2lb spray foam recreates the drainage plan to insure any bulk water which gets behind the brick will drain out through the weep holes.  It also insulates the wall back to an R-13 (per code) and is a complete vapor barrier.  Protecting the studs from water damage.
